DETAILS:
With 2015 just around the corner, employers need to prepare for new legislative changes going into effect over the coming year. Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting requirements will impact how employers record workforce data, while a recent executive action is reshaping immigration laws across the country. In order to successfully navigate what's ahead, employers need to be informed and prepared to meet new requirements and maintain compliance.

"The Affordable Care Act: Preparing for 2015"

During "The Affordable Care Act: Preparing for 2015," Kristin Lewis, director of Product Management for Equifax Workforce Solutions, will join Tom Dowling, partner, Stinson Leonard Street LLP, to break down IRS reporting as it relates to the ACA, including what information needs to be prepared to report to the IRS, when the information has to be provided, who has to send and receive Forms 1094-C and 1095-C and why these forms are required. Lewis and Dowling will share why employers need to start tracking all of the necessary data in January 2015 and explain what the penalties are for mistakes. Attendees will learn more about the detailed forms as well as best practices for ensuring their organization is able to report the correct eligibility and benefits information on time.

"Executive Action Taken! Understanding President Obama's Immigration Plan"

While details from President Obama's executive action on immigration continue to unfold, on the surface, the plan appears to provide deportation relief for undocumented immigrants who meet specific conditions. During this informative webinar, Jason Fry, senior director, and Chad Whittenberg, senior director, Product Management – I-9 & E-Verify, for Equifax Workforce Solutions, will join Monserrat Miller, partner, Arnall Golden Gregory LLP, to discuss the plan and its potential impact on employers and the workforce. Fry, Whittenberg and Miller will discuss details of the immigration plan and cover key topics, including what the plan means to affected populations as well as the business community and its effect on the Form I-9 and E-Verify. Attendees will also learn what and who is included in the executive action and what impact it may have both short-term and long-term for comprehensive immigration reform.

Attendees: HR, payroll, finance and tax professionals, and business leaders interested in learning about the latest legislative updates and compliance requirements are encouraged to attend these educational sessions.
